Self catering holiday cottage at Gartcarron, Fintry near Stirling

The cottage sleeps 2 - 6 people but pricing has been kept low outside of the peak weeks to keep it attractive to just 2 people wishing to stay.

Rentals are for a full week commencing on a Saturday at 4pm and ending the following Saturday at 10am. The rental includes electricity, oil fired central heating and fuel for the open fire. Bed linen and towels are also included in the tariff.  

Well behaved pets are welcome by arrangement at no extra charge.   Smoking is not permitted in the cottage.

Booking Conditions

Accommodation is available from 4 pm on the arrival day. The house must be vacated by 10 am on the day of departure, special arrangements may be possible if circumstances permit.

A 20% deposit is payable on booking. Full payment by cheque is required 6 weeks before arrival. Customers are advised to take out Holiday Insurance as any payments received cannot be refunded unless the accommodation can be re-let. In the event of a cancellation followed by a successful re-let or if  any payment made is not honoured an administrative charge of £25 will be levied.

The booking is made in good faith in the belief that the cottage will be placed at your disposal for the dates stated, in the unlikely event that for any reason this is not possible through circumstances outside our control (e.g. fire, theft or damage) we cannot provide an alternative cottage.  In such an event the monies paid will be refunded in full together with a 10% goodwill payment, you will have no further claim against the owner. The owner reserves the right to alter or  amend the facilities or amenities available without prior notice.

Bookings by persons under 18 years of age cannot be accepted.

You undertake to keep the cottage in a clean and tidy condition and to leave the property in a similar condition to that which it was in on your arrival. If any items are accidentally broken or damaged you undertake to replace or repay. Fair wear and tear excepted.

The property may only used by those people and pets listed on the booking form unless prior written agreement is obtained from the owners. In the event that additional persons or pets wishing to use the property arrive without prior agreement the owners reserve the right to refuse permission for this and will in any event levy an additional charge of between £50 and £100 per person and/or pet payable immediately. The property shall be used solely for holiday purposes and you shall not sub-let the property. You and the members of your holiday party will look after the property in a concerned and caring manner, will not cause any disturbances and will act as good neighbours toward local residents.

The owner is entitled at his/her own discretion to refuse to hand over to you or  to repossess the property (which includes the fixtures, fittings, furnishings and decorations) if the owner reasonably believes that any damage or  undue disturbance is likely to be caused, has been caused or is being caused by you or members of your holiday rental party. These circumstances will be treated as cancellation by you. No refund of any monies you have paid in respect of your booking will be made and the owner will have no liability  to you as  a result of this situation arising, the owner will not be under any obligation to find alternative accommodation for you or to meet any additional costs that you might incur.

You must take all necessary steps to safeguard your personal property. No liability is accepted by the owner  for loss or damage to the property, baggage, motor car etc, of people staying in the cottage however caused nor for any accident or mishap to persons whilst on the premise.

Every effort has been made to ensure that you have an enjoyable and memorable holiday. If however you have any cause  for complaint the owner would like to know about it and it is essential that you notify the owner immediately so that remedial action can be taken where appropriate.
